Preparing your home for sale doesn’t just mean tidying up. Interior designers employ a number of techniques to make properties as attractive as possible to the most potential buyers. Some of these include:
- Placing additional lighting and rearranging furniture to maximise the feeling of space
- Removing or adding furniture and furnishings to improve a room’s look and feel
- Minor repairs and decorating to show a house at its best
- Decluttering and depersonalising to help prospective buyers picture themselves in the property
- Advising you on a few helpful tricks for use on presentation day to create a positive lasting impression.
What’s included in the consultation?
My home presentation consultation includes a one-time visit to your property. During the visit we will discuss:
- Your requirements for the sale
- Any items you have that we could use for presentation purposes
- Any repairs or redecoration you are willing to do yourself (I can also recommend reliable trade contacts if you require them)
After the visit you will receive a detailed report of my
recommendations. It will include my suggestions for a colour scheme, and rough cost estimates from trades, suppliers, and any accessories.
The consultation does not include assistance with sourcing items and final staging. If you would like this service too, we can discuss an additional fee for carrying out the work.
